Abstract:
This data set was centralized for the Marine Gap Analysis Project of the Hawaii Natural Heritage Program. It was obtained from various principle investigators for a multitude of projects. It includes surveys from 183 locations on the eight main Hawaiian Islands. The data were placed in a relational database.

    FishInfo.doc This is an MS Word document with metadata regarding each contribution to this dataset. A redundant ASCII copy was placed in file FishInfo.txt. Fishdb_Data_References.doc Similar to FishINfo.doc, this file provides information about the data originators and their projects NODCfishmod.mdb (under data/original) This is an MS Access relational database containing the data. Each table in the database was exported into an MS Excel (97-2000) and subsequently into a Comma Separated Version (CSV) ASCII file. Parameters of each table are summariezed below.
