Abstract:: Nortek 600kHz Aquadopp acoustic current profilers were deployed between March 2010 and April 2011 on shallow water moorings located in Vieques Sound, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Passage USVI. The recovered current velocity, bottom pressure, and bottom temperature time-series data are presented here in an ACII format.
Purpose:: These oceanographic data were collected for the purpose of examining flow through Virgin Passage (between Culebra, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas, USVI) and into and out of Vieques Sound (between Culebra, Puerto Rico and Vieques, Puerto Rico) in the US Caribbean.
