Description:
Abstract: This map displays optical validation observation locations and percent coverage of scleractinian coral overlaid on bathymetry.
Purpose: To display locations of optical validation data collected and percent coverage of scleractinian coral at Necker Island.
Supplemental_Information: Necker Island is a small basalt island located at 23.6N, 164.7W. The total land area is 0.16 sq. km but its surrounding shelf is extensive with 1,538 sq. km of coral habitat less than 100 m.
