Abstract:
"Overall, this document attempts to support the Coral Triangle country leaders' goal of governing fisheries across a six-country region at the scales relevant to ensuring sustainability of fisheries, food security, and other ecosystem services and respecting the different contexts across the vast region. Thus, this document attempts to provide guidance that can (a) serve as a harmonized approach within and across CT countries; (b) be tailored nationally and locally to specific needs and context; and (c) enable the fisheries institutions central to EAFM to guide the cross-sectoral, cross-scale, and participatory process surrounding the management approach and planning process"--Introduction.
