Quantify the deep-sea environment as it is perceived by its inhabitants.4. Determine the role of polarized light receiption in the pelagic environment.5. Determine the extent of polarized light reception in deep-sea organisms.6. Determine adaptations in deep-sea benthic organisms for increased sensitivity to light.
