Abstract:
The project aims to investigate the effectiveness of an existing (fish) spawning aggregation site (FSA)-based MPA in protecting reproductively active fishes and provide recommendations from findings for enhancing design and the design of future FSA-based MPAs. The investigation is focusing on the squaretail coralgrouper, Plectropomus areolatus that co-occur at the Kehpara Marine Sanctuary (KMS) spawning aggregation site with the camouflage (Epinephelus polyphekadion) and brown-marbled grouper (E. fuscoguttatus)"--Objectives.
