This LAS was developed to address the overexploitation of reef species, natural disturbances and a lack of enforcement in American Samoa.

This LAS addresses both point and non-point source pollution that reduces the quality of the CNMI's surface and near-shore coastal waters.

The Puerto Rico LAS will serve as the backbone for a long-term Puerto Rico Coral reef management plan.
