Project Summary:
The National Coral Reef Monitoring Program (NCRMP) is planning to develop Caribbean jurisdictional status reports for a 2019 rollout. This project will assist in developing and executing NCRMP-Caribbean benthic analytics and methodology. As part of the project, we will:1) create an open-source, publicly available R package that hosts A) the NCRMP-Carib Benthics data, B) publicly available and associated compatible datasets (e.g. DRM, hurricane assessments), C) data analyses to provide regional and strata-level summaries of key metrics that is needed for report card analyses, and D) data analyses to support jurisdictional status report analytics. 2) Develop data visualizations to support status report analytics to share with stakeholders, and make open-source and publicly available.
Expected Outcome:
This project will address benthic data needs for to support the development of National Coral Reef Monitoring Program status reports for Caribbean jurisdictions.
