Abstract:
"The Nature Conservancy (TNC) provided support to establish the Coral Reef Program within the Puerto Rico (PR) Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DNER) to improve the effectiveness of coral reef management efforts of the agency and further integrate key partners and stakeholders in coral reef management efforts. TNC facilitated the evaluation of the priorities of Puerto Ricos Coral Reef Program within the PR DNER by coordinating and hosting 4 regional meetings held throughout the island with relevant stakeholders (fishers, academia, government agencies, NGOs) to evaluate past LAS and priorities and develop strategic plan to include new priorities for the PR Coral Reef Program if necessary."
