Abstract:
"To improve and maintain the Harbor and its surrounding area, a group of local fishers established the Wailuku Community Managed Makai Area (CMMA) in 2010. Since then, we have worked with community members, scientists, fishers, natural resource managers, business owners, canoe clubs and others with a vested interest in Kahului Harbor to better understand the condition of harbor resources and to develop a Community Action Plan (CAP)."
