"The article offers information on the massive Porites coral colonies at Ta'u island in the Manu'a group of American Samoa. It cites that the colony, which has a hemi-ellipsoidal shape, sits atop a pedestal of dead skeletons and is located in 17 meters (m) of water. It adds that it has approximately 98% live tissue and one 1m x 2m persistent tumor. It further states that it is composed of 200 million polyps."
