Abstract:
Planning of the Treasures of the Deep? workshop began in late June 2005 following two days of public meetings about the OHAPC in Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach, Florida. The overall goals for the teacher workshop included incorporation of DSCE and OHAPC research information into classroom curriculum; increasing partnerships between scientists, resource managers, educators, and students; and, increasing opportunities for educator and student participation in research and monitoring efforts along the Oculina Bank. This report is a summary of the November 2005 workshop with associated appendices.
