Project Summary:
This project will purchase hardware (~32TB) that will be integrated into NODC’s archival system. This hardware will cover the capacity needs of archiving data that was collected using CRCP funds. While some of the data will not be large (in terms of memory), there will be occasional data sets that will be of a significant size. This project will cover the costs that would typically be charged to the individual projects.
Expected Outcome:
The expected outcome of this project is to purchase compatible hardware to integrate into the NODC archival system to defer costs from individual PIs with CRCP funded data. This is a one year project and the results of the first year will be evaluated to see if it needs to be renewed and possible increased due to storage demands.
