Abstract:
George W. Bush Administration's response to the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy's September 2004 report "An Ocean Blueprint for the 21st Century". Identifies immediate, short-term actions to provide direction for ocean policy, and outlines long-term actions for the future. Chapter on "Enhancing the Use and Conservation of our Ocean, Coastal and Great Lakes Resources" addresses coordinating and better integrating the existing network of marine managed areas, and adopting an ocean parks strategy.
