This project will work with partners to: 1) Develop a draft of a manual of the guide to be published, finalize manual with approval from NOAA CRCP, EPA, TNC; 2) Complete Trainers Guide and design planning workshop curriculum, including pre workshop and in person workshop design, developing workshop materials, schedule and agenda, and a list of criteria and guidance for sites to select participants and mentors to attend the meeting;3) Design and lead pre-workshop calls to provide sites with a basic understanding of the planning process, and initiate Step 1 of the Guide to help them begin to define the purpose and scope of restoration efforts, identify key stakeholders, and define preliminary targets and objectives.Capacity building for resilience based management: Integrating climate adaptation principles into coral reef restoration projects - In collaboration with the USCRTF Climate Change working group and the Nature Conservancy, CRCP will integrate principles from the climate and coral adaptation planning guide book into the capacity building training workshop and online training module that is being developed for TNC and NOAA for coral restoration planning - this will include one writeshop to finalize the material. Once the workshop is developed, the team will develop a cadre of trainers through a 'Train the trainers' workshop for relevant stakeholders to possibly include the Coral Points of Contacts from the State and Jurisdictions and the Coral Liaisons.
