A Comparison of Coral Reef Monitoring Methods in Use at Marine Reserves in Belize and the Bahamas
Publication Date:
2005
Institution:
Wildlife Conservation Society
Abstract:
"Compares two field methods used to monitor the integrity of coral reefs and related fishery resources in Belize and the Bahamas. In Belize, the monitoring protocols were components of an atoll-scale monitoring program (LAMP), while in the Bahamas, a rapid assessment protocol was used. The report compares methods, results, and practicality of the two methods, to help provide Caribbean coral reef managers with additional monitoring options."
