Abstract:
This project resulted in three 30-second public service announcements (PSAs) in English with no captioning and three 30-second PSAs in English with Spanish captioning. These PSAs are not fully 508 Compliant: the audio does not contain open/close captioning for the English-speaking hearing impaired. Plan before you build? is the message in these PSAs to lower the impact of construction on the environment. Prevent destructive runoff during and after construction by using plans to retain rainwater on site by using native vegetation, permeable materials, and building berms, swales and rain gardens. Building green preserves our natural resources and way of life. Insulating your homes roof and walls, using natural light, LED light bulbs, and energy star appliances are some ways to lower your use and reduce your energy costs. Water conservation reduces your usage and saves you money. Plan to reuse your gray water? and compost; use natural and biodegradable cleaning products. Reminder that it all ends up in the ocean.?
